LYDIA Home is on the frontlines of helping children day in and day out. It goes without saying that a donation to LYDIA Home not only changes the lives of our children, it creates a life for them, a home! Your gift is always allocated directly where it’s needed most to support our ongoing efforts at LYDIA Home Chicago & Evanston.
Our Current Initiatives
#1. LYDIA needs a new car for the children.
One of our current vehicles need an upgrade…
Your generous donation directly funds a vehicle we are buying to transport the children.
Just like you and your own kids, our children need transportation to doctor appointments, school, events, trips, and activities.
Our current vehicle is no longer sustainable and we are asking for your help. Thank you for your consideration and selfless giving to LYDIA Home.
**Should contributions exceed the cost required to purchase a vehicle, Lydia Home reserves the right to utilize any remaining funds where most needed at the discretion of the organization.
#2. You're invited to The Chicago Auto Show First Look Event benefiting LYDIA Home Association & Safe Families for Children!
Please join us for an evening of fun, dining and charity! Attend one of Chicago's greatest one-day fundraisers and be one of the first to explore the annual editions of the nation's largest auto show. Gala attendees will also have the chance to win a brand new vehicle!

Established Planned Giving
Planned giving is an excellent way to support LYDIA Home’s ministry to children and families. Planned gifts can be made during a donor’s lifetime or after his or her death. They include any donation made as part of a person’s overall financial and/or estate plan.
Such gifts can benefit nonprofits and charities, enabling donors to make larger gifts than they could make from their income. While some planned gifts provide a life-long income to the recipient , others use estate and tax planning techniques to provide for a charity and other heirs in ways that maximize the gift and/or minimize taxation on the donor’s estate.
Examples of planned giving strategies include making simple bequests, designating a charity as a beneficiary of a trust or life insurance policy, and donating gifts of appreciated assets. Financial planners with experience in this area of charitable giving can help donors identify the best strategy to maximize their gift.
